BGL Managing Director Anthony D. Delfre, who leads the firm’s Real Estate Investment Advisors team, is quoted in a recent article published on Cleveland-based WKYC’s website entitled, “Cleveland’s Erieview Tower to be converted into luxury hotel, apartment; changes also coming to Galleria.”
The Kassouf family, longtime BGL client and owner of the Tower at Erieview, inked a deal with Marriott International to bring Ohio’s first high-end W hotel to the 40-story building.
In the article, Anthony discusses why Marriott was drawn to Cleveland, and specifically to the Tower at Erieview, for its new luxury hotel equipped with a skyline-level restaurant, a rooftop bar, a gym, and a grand ballroom.
“It’s a very heavy sports and entertainment brand for Marriott,” Delfre said, adding that the decision to build the first-of-their-kind “W” apartments is “very important” regarding Marriott’s confidence in the region.
BGL’s Real Estate Investment Advisors team are the exclusive financial advisor for the project and arranging the financing for the $162 million project, including state and federal tax credits for historic preservation.
