BGL Managing Director Craig Decker, who leads the firm’s Transportation & Logistics investment banking team, is quoted in an article published by Commercial Carrier Journal entitled, “Unexpected changes play role in used truck market activity.”
The article highlights an increase in used Class 8 truck sales in February, which exceeded expectations. The article notes that owner-operators are exiting the industry, and fleets are trading for new trucks, which is adding used trucks to the market. This surplus, along with high new truck prices during the pandemic, has led to all-time highs in used truck prices.
