Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (“BGL”) announced today the addition of Morten G. Jorgensen, a veteran of 12 years of global merger and acquisition experience, as Vice President in its Chicago office.
Jorgensen, a previous Vice President in the Global Industrial and Services Investment Banking Group at Credit Suisse First Boston, brings to BGL broad advisory and capital raising experience in the diversified industrial, surface transportation and business services sectors.
“I am excited about the opportunity to build upon the tremendous success of BGL in the U.S. and internationally through its affiliation with Global M&A, the world’s premier collection of investment banking boutiques,” said Jorgensen, himself of Danish descent. “BGL provides the highest quality global execution capabilities to its clients. This is unique and increasingly important among leading U.S. middle market advisory firms.”
Jorgensen started his corporate finance career as an investment banking analyst with Morgan Stanley in London, UK. From there he served as Director, European Finance, for Exide Holding Europe S.A. (“Exide”) where he was a member of the senior financial management team. Showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and M&A expertise, Jorgensen later founded MGJ Advisory Group, a mergers and acquisitions advisory firm focused on corporate divestitures.
“The addition of Morten to our firm serves as yet another example of our continuing commitment to enhance our international leadership in middle market corporate finance advisory services by making key, strategic hires,” said Scott H. Lang, Senior Managing Partner and Principal at BGL. “We look to Morten’s investment banking expertise and multi-lingual skills to help maximize the growth of our increasingly global practice.”
Jorgensen earned his M.B.A and B.S. from Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark.
